Antioch

One of the oldest towns in California, Antioch is a family-oriented city showered in Spanish, Victorian and Early American architecture. Sitting on the banks of the stunning San Joaquin River in the Northeast Bay, it is considered the gateway to The Delta. It maintains almost 300 acres of land developed as parks and recreation areas, leaving room for all kinds of outdoor activities. History and culture are very prevalent in Antioch, especially at the historic El Campanile Theatre opened in 1928, which still presents classic films, live performances, ballet, concerts and local dance troops. Families can also engage in the area's history and culture by exploring the Black Diamond Mine, the Antioch Historical Society Museum, or spending the day at the Prewett Family Water Park. The community has a beautiful 18-hole golf course, and hosts the annual Contra Costa County Fair and a grand 4th of July parade, making this thriving delta area an incredible and exciting place to live your dream.
