Fremont

Fremont is located in the southeast section of the San Francisco Bay Area. It is a merger of five smaller communities including Centerville, Niles, Irvington, Warm Springs and Mission San Jose. With its own BART station serving as the southernmost terminus for the BART system, it makes connecting to anywhere in the Bay Area an easy and enjoyable undertaking. Home to Ohlone College, The California School for the Deaf, University of Phoenix, DeVry University, and Northwestern Polytechnic University, Fremont is an anchor for academic achievement. An entertainment haven as well, visitors can swim to their hearts content at the Aqua Adventure Water Park, visit the Depot Museum which displays the rich history of the Fremont area, or even watch silent movies at the Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum with live piano accompaniment and $1 refreshments. There is also the annual Fremont Festival of the Arts, which is the largest free street festival west of the Mississippi. It is a two-day event with over 650 artisans and almost 400,000 attendees. Surrounded by hills, missions and history, Fremont is a perfect choice for good living.
