Home Prices Up for Seventh Straight Month
|
2010 February 24 Signifying the housing market's continued recovery, home prices rose nationally for the seventh straight month in December. The Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller 20-city home price index rose 0.3% (on a seasonally adjusted basis) from November to December. The Western states in particular are improving, with gains in California, Nevada and Arizona. In fact, San Francisco saw its eighth monthly gain, indicating that the Bay Area may be ahead of the national curve towards recovery.
